The Wild Sparrow is the soundtrack to the audible book of “The Legend of Icarus O’Toole” – The incredible Naked Flying Man of Achill.
The Wild Sparrow
I soar like an eagle yet I waddle like a duck with feathers like a peacock all clarted up with muck.? I dart as though a dragonfly across the crystal pond.? I’m a graceful summer swallow with a a phony magic wand.? I’m as skittish as a creepy? bug that crawls beneath the bed, where people put their boots on a squash me ’til I’m dead.? I’ve the freedom of a tumbleweed.? I’m a felon on the run, yet I dazzle like a hummingbird out flitting in the sun.? I’m as happy as a butterfly, for this you have my word, I’m a chirpy little sparrow – a fly upon a turd.
The Wild Sparrow is dedicated to my Irish Grandmother, Mary McKeon, an artist unable to follow her dream, owing to emigration, and two world wars.? This collection of music and songs was recorded a the Clew Bay Recording Studios in Westport, Co Mayo..
Musical Director: Des Cafferkey.? Sound Engineer: Bart de Boer.? Mastering: Brian Masterson.? Produced by John A.Blakey.
